I want to record video calls too

In the browser, only your own microphone is recorded. Here's how to use the desktop app so the other people on a video call are transcribed too.

What's happening

On a video call like Zoom, only your voice is transcribed. What the other people say isn't in the transcript.

Where to look first

Look for the “Record video calls with the desktop app” notice above the note's recording dock, and the download page.

Try these steps

  1. Install the desktop app Get it from [Download for macOS] above the note list or from the download page.
  2. Sign in to the app The app and the browser sign in separately. You need to sign in once more.
  3. Click [Allow microphone] in the [Get started with HeyMoa] window This window appears the first time you open the app.
  4. Allow permission to record your computer's sound You're asked on your first recording. On a Mac, check it in [Privacy & Security] in System Settings.
  5. Open the meeting note This is the note for the meeting you want to record.
  6. Click the record button Recording starts.
  7. Check that you can hear the other people on that computer Sound you can't hear isn't recorded.
  8. Click the menu bar icon to open the popover You can see the live timeline and recording status.
